Picturing A Home For Every Child
Waiting Children:Krista

A 10th grader who enjoys music, horses and computers and would do well in a two parent family with no other children in the home.

Krista, 14, is described by her social worker as an outgoing and energetic child. She has varied interests that include drawing cartoons, dancing, playing the piano, horseback riding and computer editing. She also enjoys singing along to both current songs and oldies. Krista continues to work on socialization skills and relating to her peers better. She is an average to above average student who benefits from some accommodations. Her favorite subject is language arts. Krista would greatly benefit from a structured, patient two-parent family with no children in the home. Her adoptive family will need to participate in an extensive transitional treatment plan prior to placement. Families who are interested in learning more about Krista needs to have an approved, active home study.
