, 15 and in the ninth grade, is caring, friendly and talkative. Josea is a strong, optimistic and kind young man who cares about others. He is a happy and active child with a great smile and a positive attitude. Josea is in special education, and has a strong desire to learn. He is working toward becoming a better student and focusing on academics. He enjoys hands-on projects like arts and crafts and puzzles. Josea is also learning to control his behavior, respect boundaries and develop patience.

He likes to watch and learn about karate, and play and watch basketball and football. Josea does well in a structured environment. He is respectful of authority figures and listens and responds to them. He has a twin brother with whom he wants to remain in contact. Josea has a strong desire to be permanently adopted by a nurturing family. He would thrive in a two-parent family and could have siblings of any age, although he would prefer older brothers and sisters.

The Heart Gallery of New Mexico helps waiting children in the Children, Youth and Families Department connect with adoptive families by utilizing the donated talents of renowned photographers from throughout the state. The resulting portraits reveal the souls of these beautiful children and aid them in finding forever families through state-wide exhibits.
