Picturing A Home For Every Child
Waiting Children:Dakota
Dakota, age 14 [photo by Jennifer Davidson]

Dakota has a warm and lovable personality and would like to be a teacher when he grows up. He enjoys the outdoors, and when inside, he enjoys puzzles, video games and watching football on T.V. A special education student, Dakota is learning to deal with his anger issues and can be a good student when he is motivated. His favorite subjects are math and spelling.

Dakota works hard to please others and can be helpful around the house when asked. Although he may be shy at first, with a little encouragement, Dakota opens up and can be quite outgoing. Dakota likes country music—his favorite group is Alabama. He is also a huge Michael Jordan fan. He likes to be around pets and, when supervised, Dakota does well with animals. He says his favorite animals are lions, tigers and dogs. Dakota would do best in a two-parent family, with a mom and dad who are able to provide plenty of one-on-one attention. He would do well as either an only child or with older siblings.
