National Hispanic Cultural Center Site of Heart Gallery of New Mexico Opening
On Saturday, August 5th, from 6pm to 8pm, the New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department and The Adoption Exchange will host an opening reception for the Heart Gallery of New Mexico in the lobby of the Roy E. Disney Center for Performing Arts at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. The NHCC is located at 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque (The intersection of 4th St. SW and Avenida Cesar Chavez). The exhibit will remain on display through 8/27.

This highly acclaimed exhibit of compelling portraits of New Mexican children in foster care waiting to be adopted has become a model for similar projects in over 40 states.

The event is free and no rsvp is needed. Attendees will get free admission to the National Hispanic Cultural Center museum from 5 to 7pm. There will be entertainment, refreshments, and special guests.

Many new portraits have been added to the exhibit since its New Mexico tour started in Santa Fe in December 2005.

Come be inspired by the New Mexico initiative which has become a model for over 40 states and the subject of extensive national media coverage. CYFD and Adoption Exchange staff will be present to discuss how you can make a difference in the life of a child.

You Can Make A Difference
The Heart Gallery of New Mexico helps waiting children in the Children, Youth and Families Department connect with adoptive families by utilizing the donated talents of renowned photographers from throughout the state. The resulting portraits reveal the souls of these beautiful children and aid them in finding forever families through state-wide exhibits.
Site & design donated by: Kris Genovese [Big Black Dog Designs] and Sebastien Dartevelle [LANL].
