The Licensing and Certification Authority (LCA) is part of CYFD's Youth and Family Services Division with offices located in Santa Fe, Albuquerque and Las Cruces.
The LCA certifies compliance with defined services, state and federal laws and rules of all in-state Medicaid facilities for children and youth. The LCA reviews for active treatment, quality of care, health and safety, personnel requirements as well as other service delivery regulatory standards.
Types of Facilities the LCA Regulates:
- Accredited residential treatment services
- Non-accredited residential treatment and group home services
- Treatment foster care services
- Day treatment services
- Behavioral management services
- Comprehensive community support services
- Community crisis shelters
- Children's community homes
